Saint Paul de Mausole
The St. Paul's Monastery is a Romanesque Provençal monastery of the xie Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is located in Provence in the French department of Bouches-du-Rhône in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.1.
A masterpiece of Provençal Romanesque art dedicated to Saint Paul de Mausole, it has been a listed monument since 1883 and is famous for having been the home and inspiration of the post-impressionist Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), who spent a year there in 1889-1890 painting a major part of his oeuvre.
